"Success is built on a foundation of failures."

- Robert Scovill
My name is Tim Corder and this site documents my journey toward making audio great and inspiring people through the art of live production. I started this blog in early 2007 because there were so few of what I considered good church audio resources available at the time for my team. Fast forward over 5 years later and I'm still at it, sharing learnings and experiences.

I go through seasons where I post a lot and other times when I don't. I'm thankful for the opportunity to share with you and many friends that I've made through the process. Have a look around, friend me on Facebook or Twitter to stay in touch, and thanks for visiting!

Tim’s passion for music, technology, and live production developed at an early age and over the past decade has grown into a successful professional career.
  • Production

He has toured all over the United States as a FOH, Monitor, and System engineer, showing his versatility working for a wide range of musical styles including well-known regional and national artists. As a tour manager and technical director, he has effectively managed production and teams for events both large and small in churches, convention centers, and arenas. He is also an accomplished producer and recording engineer, with over 30 album credits and a Contemporary Acappella Society of America nomination for Best Recorded Song and Album in 2010.
  • Church Production

Tim has spent 5 years as Audio Director at Kensington Community Church in Troy, MI and Production Manager at New Life Church in Central Arkansas, both very large multi-campus, high impact churches. As an experienced voice in church production, Tim knows the high-pressure expectations placed upon technical directors and volunteers within churches.
  • Moyers Group

In 2011, Tim joined the team in the Atlanta office of Moyers Group. Moyers Group's House of Worship division partners exclusively with churches all over the country to create irresistible environments for people to engage with God.

Their team of professionals have decades of combined experience as end users, designers, and integrators. They have worked at the highest levels in popular music and live production and are ready to bring that experience to your project. Their approach places your needs at the center of the creative effort. They are focused on listening to you, inspiring you, and collaborating with you to express your style.
Tim is married to his dream girl and has 2 children. On the weekend he can be found mixing for churches around Greater Atlanta such as North Point Community Church, Gwinnett Church, Free Chapel, and the online broadcast of North Point Online. In his spare time, he enjoys photography, reading and staying up with current affairs & technology news, all things Apple, flying, and fantasy football.
  • 2012-Current

This most recent season has found me mixing FOH or broadcast most Sundays for North Point Ministries in the Atlanta area - North Point Community Church, Gwinnett Church, Buckhead Church, and North Point Online - or Free Chapel in Gainesville. Below are several recent samples of RAW console board mixes.

Tim has been engineering and producing records for independent artists all over the country since he was 15.  He believes that the human voice is the greatest and most versatile instrument ever created and specializes in vocal production specifically.  In 2009, his work was recognized by the Contemporary Acappella Society of America as a nominee for Best Christian Song and Best Christian Album.

Tim's tracking rig is completely portable, so most of his projects are recorded wherever the artist is most comfortable - at home, on campus, etc. - transforming the space into a world-class recording studio.  From full music production including recording, overdubbing, intonation correction, mixing, and mastering to the smallest of audio needs, Tim takes pride in providing a product you can be proud of.

He works exclusively in Pro-Tools and also owns a large collection of tools, from microphones to plug-in processors.  More importantly, he is well versed in coaching the best performance out of each artist and making them sound their best.
